• Our Ever Increasing Socialist Nation

Why do capitalists and socialists clash so harshly? It seems that the debate for capitalism or socialism involves fear, greed, guilt, and other human innate characteristics. Not long ago, a socialist pulled the old "what about the children?" debate. He stated, "I'd like to see both scenarios especially when it comes to the elderly, disabled, and children."

Well, in capitalism much more abundance is created and the leftover is easy enough to bring up those who can't help themselves, and others who are easily able to give that helping hand. And, also FDR, and God bless him because I have that lineage in my family tree, started something which is now grown completely at our control. The concepts and ideas at the time it seemed like the right way to go, but it started some horrible trends.

Back in Benjamin Franklin's day, the local community in Philadelphia came up with the concepts of putting in libraries, hospitals, and running the schools. But that was not something the federal government was involved with. But since it worked, more and more cities and communities were doing the same, pooling their resources.

My socialist acquaintance stated; "I knew I left myself open to sound socialistic, which is OK as I said earlier for the translations of discussion ... I ask this, however; can we have both scenarios without being socialistic?"

Yes, it is a socialist thought, and therefore I thought I'd mention the likes of Hugo Chavez and what's going on there. I suppose I could've cited even more hours in Bolivia, and the nightmare he's created. Or even Corrales in Ecuador. Who knows, in another five years Mexico might even turn communist, during the last election someone who was an infected communist lost collection by such a razor-thin margin, some believe he actually had one it, and let's not forget what happens when the mass mobs decide they want something, such as the riots in Mexico over the price increase of tortillas.

It could have easily turned out just like Egypt within Overthrow, but it was reverted to a communist government and take over. It's not very funny. We have to be careful very careful on stuff like this. And you know, I guess it all depends on your definition of what government is supposed to do. We live in a capitalist nation, not a socialist nation.

We should promote self-reliance, not reliance on the government, and the more debris in the snow we allow on the roof, due to the demands of the populace, which will never run out of more things to demand, the more you give them, eventually, there will be snow so much snow on the roof that will collapse the entire nation.

Specifically, if the government would get out of the way, and I'm speaking with the federal government right now, we do have significant problems at local levels as well, but since this discussion is mainly about the federal government, it just needs to get out away, and reduce its regulations, and needs to stop micromanaging the lives of Americans.

And yes, the economy needed a reset, so I guess we are having a discussion in hindsight of how that should have been done to get to the actual favorable results that which we desire, or that we stated we desired. We did not and I think we both agree to achieve the desired results, because we have a jobless recovery, and now folks are saying this is the new norm, and we won't see significant job growth before 2014. Actually, a pretty much agree with Those predictions, judging by what I see. And I think that 7% unemployment is a good number because it keeps people out of the workforce who really don't want to work anyway. Nevertheless, if we are to seek full employment, then in that case we don't need any unions, and we can get full employment if we will stop putting up barriers, and attacking our companies small, medium, and large.
